Hey everyone,

Things are going great. The weather is getting nicer.  It is going to be probably in the 70s today.  The new companion has been great!  Elder Chisholm has been out about a year (he went home for knee surgery -- he originally came out a little after me). We get along great and things are going well.

Ok first off I have an awesome story to tell.  It involves a less active family that we visited by inspiration. We were basically just going around trying to see a potential in this one area. He wasn't home so we tried to knock around the neighborhood, hardly anyone was home and we managed to talk to a few people.  Then elder Chisholm had an impression to look at his gps to see if there were any less actives in the area. We see the Lowes - someone we haven't met before who lives in a neighborhood with about three or four other members. So we go to the house, the wife is at home and she answers the door. They are like "Hey Elders" and she asked if we could give her daughter a blessing because she had some kind of viral infection or something that was causing an allergic reaction in her legs.  She had swelling and sores all up her legs and she had been in the emergency room before, and apparently it would cause her to not be able to walk for a week or two until the infection passed. So we give her the blessing, and then ask if we could come back Friday to meet the husband and everyone.  So we head over there on Friday and we know its going to be good because on the way a non member picked us up and took us the rest of the way (we were walking). So we show up and there are a bunch of hispanics painting their house. We go up and knock on the door and they answer.  The little girl was running around and playing and we're like wasn't she not supposed to be up and walking for another week or so? And the Dad answers us and says it totally was no coincidence that we showed up that day.  They had lived in that house for like a year and a half and no missionaries had showed up that entire time, and the one time that we do it is right after her daughter is in the emergencey room and we're able to give her a blessing. He said that it was probably a sign from God that they need to get back to church, and they will be coming to priesthood session on Saturday and coming back to church. The funny thing is that they both served missions in California, and the only reason they weren't coming to church was because they moved out of the Webb Bridge ward in Alpharetta (a very wealthy area) to a new ward with a new dynamic of people and they didn't really have any friends in this ward. So that was way awesome! The priesthood is real, the church is true!!!

And one other thing, we had presidents interviews recently and he said something to me that really struck me and helped me to see a different perspective.  He said that getting numbers is all well and good, and baptising is too, but a way to know you had a good day was if you were able to bear your testimony or testify at least once during the day. That is how you determine if you were fulfilling your purpose. Our purpose as missionaries is to invite others to come unto Christ. And that really helped me.  If I know that I am going out and working and using my time wisely then I know I've had a good day, even if no one listended or accepted.

Our investigators are doing about the same as before.  We are still trying to keep contact with them and trying to build up our teaching pool some more with new people.  But for now we are focusing on less actives and part member families as well as prospective elders (who fall under less active for the most part), and that is about all.

I can't believe that March is allready over!  ITS CRAZY!!!! I have almost 9 MONTHS LEFT CRAAAAAZZZZYYY AAAAAAGHHHH!!! I love you all lots and...I already said how soon I'll see you, time flies.
Love,
Elder Jacob Christian Jones
